Nolan Browne Panelist at Conference for Clean Energy
CSE Managing Director Nolan Browne was a featured panelist at the 5th annual Conference for Clean Energy held in Boston, Massachusetts from November 12th through 13th. Mr. Browne participated in two panels: "Massachusetts Clean Energy Industry Resources" and "University Research Center Directors".
Equity Solar Signs Commercial Validation Agreement
Equity Solar, Inc., a company specifically established to commercialize a leading-edge solar photovoltaic (PV) technology, today announced that it has entered into a validation agreement with Fraunhofer USA's Center for Sustainable Energy Systems (CSE). Under the terms of the agreement, Fraunhofer will provide comprehensive experimental validation of a cutting-edge, patented solar technology that Equity Solar has licensed from Special Materials Research and Technology, Inc. (SPECMAT). SPECMAT's CEO Dr. Maria Faur will support Fraunhofer in this process.

Better Buildings White Paper Released
The Fraunhofer Center for Sustainable Energy Systems is pleased to announce the official release of its first white paper, written in conjunction with clean technology venture fund Nth Power LLC. The paper, entitled Innovating for Better Buildings, gives a comprehensive description of market dynamics creating opportunities for building innovation in the current downturn, and offers an insight into how current residential and commercial market meltdowns can be seen a positive "springboard for innovation." The report also includes a guide for entrepreneurs interested in pursuing these large, yet challenging opportunities, as well as an overview of key emerging technologies.

German Ambassador Opens CSE Module Laboratory
On October 13th, Fraunhofer USA, Inc.'s Center for Sustainable Energy Systems officially opened its first laboratory, a PV module innovation facility, at a high-profile ribbon-cutting ceremony headlined by German Ambassador Klaus Scharioth and Massachusetts Energy Secretary Bowles.
