CSE Speaks at National Academies Symposium

CSE Managing Director Nolan Browne was a guest speaker at the National Academies' Symposium "Partnering for Photovoltaic Manufacturing in the United States" in Washington DC on July 29th, 2009. Mr. Browne's presentation, entitled "Industry-University Partnerships for Photovoltaics", was delivered as part of a larger panel on advancing photovoltaic manufacturing through intermediary organizations. The event drew several significant speakers, including representatives from IBM, Sunpower, Applied Materials, and the US Department of Energy.


Entech Solar Enters Into Agreement with CSE

Fraunhofer Joins Forces with Abu Dhabi

The Fraunhofer Society has announced that it will be partnering with the government of Abu Dhabi to explore technologies and concepts for Masdar City, a groundbreaking urban project designed to be both carbon-neutral and entirely powered by renewable energy. The collaboration, led by the Fraunhofer Institutes for Industrial Engineering (IAO), Building Physics (IBP), and Solar Energy Systems (ISE), ultimately intends to establish a close cooperation in the fields of sustainable urban development and building planning.


President Hockfield Visits Fraunhofer HQ

During her recent trip to Germany, MIT President Susan Hockfield took the opportunity to tour the Fraunhofer Society's headquarters in Germany, meeting with a number of senior personnel including Professor Hans-Jörg Bullinger, President of the Society.
