Biography

Professor Glicksman has been a member of MIT's faculty since 1966. A co-founder of MIT's Building Technology Group, he has served as its head for the past 18 years, spearheading exploration into issues of energy efficiency and sustainable development in building design. Glicksman holds seven US Patents and has authored more than 200 papers in the areas of energy and heat transfer. His work has been applied in a series of residential demonstrations under construction in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen as part of a larger-scale project developed in conjunction with researchers from Beijing's Tsinghua University.
