Biography

An expert in solar cell and module manufacture, Dr. Gabor is a founding member of 1366 Technologies, a MIT startup launched in 2008 with the aim of making silicon-based photovoltaic cells competitive with coal power. Prior to joining 1366, Dr. Gabor spent 11 years at Evergreen Solar, where he developed many of the cell and module fabrication processes. He is the author of numerous publications in the cell and module R&D area, and has taught courses on photovoltaics at Brown and MIT.
